ABOUT US

West Virginia University Field Hockey Club was founded in August 2010 as an intramural team.  In August 2011 we were officially recognized as a club team and became honorary members of the National Field Hockey League.  Since August 2011, our team has traveled throughout the east coast competing in South Carolina, Ohio, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia and Pennsylvania.  In August 2013 we became full members of the National Field Hockey League, making us eligible to compete for the national championship.

Any WVU student, male or female, is welcome to join us.  The purpose of our organization is to engage members in a healthy lifestyle through the sport of field hockey.  Although field hockey is our main focus, we also take part in serving our community, as well as building lifelong friendships.

We are an energetic, hard-working team looking to build our program.  Our dues for each semester usually run somewhere between $100 to $150.  If you would like to play with us during the fall semester you must have previous experience with the sport, however, no experience is necessary to play during our spring semester.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
